The team behind the dream.

The Art of Motion (affectionately known as AOM) began as a dream that combined two of our owner's greatest passions: dance and children. Hannah Pasquinzo has been teaching Northwest Arkansas' youth for over 20 years, and she couldn't be more proud to be building a legacy that thrives on values like creativity, teamwork, family, and fun!

Hannah Pasquinzo

Owner and Director Hannah was just naive and adventurous enough to think that she could start her own dance studio at the ripe 'ole age of 21. And thank goodness - AOM has been serving Northwest Arkansas for 16 years now! When she's not at the studio, you can find Hannah hanging out with her husband and two children or riding her horses. You can also see what she's up to on Insta @hannahpasquinzo.

Lynae Carlson

Assistant Instructor Lynae immediately fell in love with the art of dance at age 12 when she auditioned for her school dance team. She continued to train at Above the Barre Dance Academy and dance on the Golden Girls Dance Team in Olathe, KS throughout high school. When not dancing, Lynae stays busy studying biology and pre-med at the University of Arkansas in hopes of becoming a pediatrician. She is excited to be part of the AOM family and pass on her passion for dance to the next generation!

Sydney Driscoll

Ballet Director, Instructor Sydney has been dancing for 18 years and has been teaching for 9 years. She is a recent graduate of The Conservatory of Theatre and Dance at Southeast Missouri State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. She loves to hang out with her dog, Kona, and she's excited to be on the AOM team for her second year, learning and growing with each of her amazing students.

Hannah Hoye

Instructor Hannah began dancing at the young age of 5 in her forever home city of Rockwall, TX. She has spent years growing and developing her own style and sense of self as a dancer, training in the genres of modern, jazz, ballet, lyrical, tap, and her favorite, hip hop. She is now a sophomore at the University of Arkansas studying psychology with the hopes of making a difference in the lives of those struggling with mental illness. She is ecstatic to be a part of the AOM team!

Morgahn Martin

Office Manager Morgahn grew up dancing in Dallas, Texas before moving to a tiny town in Oklahoma. When she finally landed in Northwest Arkansas, she knew she had found home. She working toward a degree in Communication at the U of A. As Office Manager, you can catch her in the lobby, behind the front desk, on the phone, or running around the studio. She loves dance, loves people, and loves making friends! She couldn’t be more excited to be part of the incredible AOM family!!

Khloie O'Neal

Assistant Instructor Khloie began dancing as a young child and has loved it ever since. She's studied and enjoys all styles including ballet, tap, jazz, and improv. She was a member of Fayetteville Dance Company and her high school cheerleading squad. Being around young children inspires Khloie, and she couldn't be happier to combine two of her favorite things at The Art of Motion: kids and dance!

Kaylee Smith

Instructor Kaylee Smith has been dancing since the age of 4 and loves all styles, especially jazz. She is a junior at the University of Arkansas and is majoring in Elementary Education. She's excited to use what she's learning in school in the classroom at the studio, and she's thrilled to share her love of dance with all of her students at AOM!

Mariah Snyder

Instructor Mariah began her technical and competitive dance training 18 years ago in various styles such as ballet, pointe, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, modern, tap, and musical theater. She is currently a fourth-year member of The U of A Pom Squad, and she'll be graduating in 2020 with a BA in Journalism. Mariah plans to move back to Dallas and hopes to audition for a professional dance team in either the NBA or NFL. AOM is already wishing her good luck!

Twinkle Toes

Ages 2 to 5 We've been working with young dancers in Northwest Arkansas for almost 20 years now, so your kiddo is in good hands at The Art of Motion! Here's what we have in store for your 2 to 5-year-old:

Twinkle Babies - 2-year-olds creative movement, song and dance, beginning ballet

Twinkle Tots - 3-year-olds everything above plus beginning tap!

Twinkle Stars - 4-year-olds a step up from Twinkle Tots - aka additional ballet and tap skills - plus lots of instructional song and dance

Kindercombo - 5-year-olds ballet, tap, and an introduction to jazz (woot!)

Kinder Hip Hop - 5-year-olds age-appropriate moves and grooves for tons of fun!

Showstars

Ages 6+ Every Showstars class is 90 minutes long and includes a combination of ballet, tap, and jazz. Perfect for children who are looking to build on the basics of dance technique and have a great time while they're at it!

When you get ready to register for classes or schedule a free trial class, our handy online enrollment system will show you only the classes that suit your child's age.

Look for Showstars level 1, 2, or 3!

Levelized Classes

Ages 6+ Do you have a more serious student looking to work hard and improve their dance technique? Maybe you want them to have the option of being competitive at their school dance team tryouts in a few years. Or maybe they have a passion for dance that is undeniable, but you're not interested in a competition team. Our levelized classes in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip hop can get them where they want to go.

NOTE: Levels 1 and 2 enroll by age, but level 3 is by instructor placement only.

Ballet All of our ballet classes are part of The Ballet School at The Art of Motion. Ballet is the foundation for every other form of dance, and it's a vital part of any well-rounded dance education. It develops self-discipline, beautiful posture, a controlled body, strength, stamina, and poise. Come once per week, but twice is even better!

Jazz Jazz is a combination of many different styles - from ethnic to ballet to contemporary! It involves muscle toning, stretching, and rhythm exercises, and fun, fast-paced music. This class is definitely a fan favorite!

Tap Students will learn the basics of tap and then build them into combinations that are fun not only to do, but also to hear and to watch! Tap dance develops a keen sense of rhythm as well as coordination. Plus, shoes that make noise - what's not to love?!

Hip Hop This dance style can be seen on popular video productions and commercials. Used as a great body strengthening technique, dancers will learn the fundamentals of hip hop and contemporary dance. And don't worry, we keep it PG around here!

The Ballet School

Ages 6+ Passion for dance, poise for life.

This is for our ballerinas in the bunch! The Ballet School at The Art of Motion is for our students interested in ballet technique at a higher level of instruction without being part of a competition team. Of course, all classes will be fun! But there will be an emphasis on hard work and discipline.

Come once per week, but twice is even better - especially if your child wants to eventually dance "en pointe"!

NOTE: Ballet 1 and 2 enroll by age, but Ballet 3 is by instructor placement only.

Happy Parents and Dancers

In her first year at The Art of Motion, Eve has already been welcomed into the studio’s “family.” Hannah and the other teachers have encouraged and nurtured Eve, while providing her with a well-rounded introduction to the discipline of dance. - Ashley Kimbrow

Savvy Shields Miss America

As a dancer and most importantly as a person, all the instructors there encouraged and challenged me to be the best version of myself possible. It was one of my greatest joys to take all that I learned and take it to the Miss America stage. Thank you AOM for all you have done for me! - Savvy Shields

My time at The Art of Motion helped me make the Fayetteville High School Dance Team, the University of Arkansas Pom Squad, and the Texas Legends Dance Team. Now, I'm very proud to be a current Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. I would have never accomplished this goal of mine if it wasn’t for Hannah and AOM. - Miranda Tims

I love that my daughter is learning to dance without it being a high-pressure event. She just loves going to class, having fun, and then showing off what she learned at home! - Chrystal Lieutard
